Fred Kopp helped found m2Methods.net, a startup business solutions company, based on his years of success at Wegmans. m2Methods pioneered the development of network-based work and communication process improvement tools for multiple-location organizations. Sue Hunter joined in a senior capacity to develop marketing communications.
Opportunities: Develop a startup company that provides retail and wholesale organizations with better ways to do work and communicate within their multiple-location organizations. Existing suites of network and web-based software tools had not yet been developed.
Challenges: Angel investment funding was necessary to form the company to create these solutions. Such tools and methodologies had not been developed and packaged into a family of solutions.
Solutions: Fred developed and managed an array of concept mockups to illustrate the products and services that m2Methods would offer. Sue created detailed process-flow diagrams illustrating current archaic work and communications processed vs. m2Method’s innovative solutions, which were incorporated into business plans and presentations.
Results: Business plan, concept mockups and presentations generated angel investor interest in m2Methods.net, resulting in startup funding, which then drove partnerships, product beta testing opportunities and other support.
